Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
This whole week we continue to celebrate the great feast of Pentecost: the coming of the Holy Spirit and the “birthday” of the Church. In order for the Church to continue its mission, to continue living, it needs to be a Church that goes out and searches for the lost.
This world of ours has many people who are faithful to Christ, to His ministry, His teachings, and to His Church. We may find ourselves in this group, counted as one of the ninety-nine that Christ leaves so He may search for the one.
As baptized members of the body of Christ, we too are responsible to join Christ in the search for the one lost sheep. Our world has many people who are lost, who are searching and desiring truth and who look for it in many places. They need to be found and brought to the Way, the Truth, and the Life: Jesus Christ.
Brothers and sisters, do not be afraid of your Christian responsibility to look for the lost and bring them to Christ. And may the Holy Spirit guide you in your search for the lost sheep so that He May inspire you on your mission and the lost one in his or her search to find the truth.
