Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
Have you ever sat down at the end of the day, asked the Holy Spirit to enlighten you and then review the day? How many temptations did you receive in the day? One? Two? Three? More? I think it is fair to state that each of us gets tempted quite a few times every day. What do we do with those temptations?
We learn from the Gospel that when our Lord gets tempted by the devil, He did not engage with the temptation. Instead, He turned to the Word of God, the Scriptures, in which He received strength. We learn that the Word of God has power over the devil and his temptations. Temptations will come. Turning to the Word of God will help us deal with them.
