Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

Today we reflect on love of neighbour. During the Last Supper Jesus gave His disciples a new commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.” To love the people around us is a great challenge. One must first learn to accept people as they are. To accept is the first step to love. Jesus fully accepted each one of us while on the Cross.

We can do a different kind of examination of conscience. We could try to spiritually look at each person that we interact with on a regular basis one by one. We should then look at our inner disposition towards that particular person, and see to what extent we accept that person as they are. We will notice how reluctant we are to fully accept the person in front of us. Once we recognise these limitations in ourselves, we can then ask God to help us accept and love each person we know the way He loves them.
