Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

When is it that we appreciate the doctor the most? When we are sick of course!

This same principle holds true in the spiritual life. There are two types of Christians: sinners who think they are saints and saints who know they are sinners. In fact, the closer we come to the Lord, the Source of all perfect goodness, truth and beauty, the more recognize how unworthy we are and how amazing the Lord is in loving and accepting us! This is the incredible moment of conversion of Levi that we read about in the gospel today.

Levi did the only thing he could do when faced with such an incredible event- he gave it away! Instead of holding this incredible love and forgiveness in, he threw a party and invited all his sinful friends to meet Jesus.

What about us? Are we aware that we are undeservedly loved? Does that knowledge break our hearts enough to be filled with an insatiable desire to introduce people to Jesus the Great Lover?
