Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
Have you ever considered yourself an ambassador? Most of us reserve that title and responsibility to chosen officials who are representatives to a foreign country. Ambassadors belong, or rather are citizens, of the country they serve and are temporarily placed elsewhere in order to serve the best interests of their own country. Through Christ we become a new creation, the righteousness of God, we are reconciled to the Father; in other words we become citizens of Heaven. The Kingdom is our first home and we are on this earth for a short time only as pilgrims. Through baptism, our union with Christ, we have been chosen officially as ambassadors of the Kingdom: God makes his appeal to the world through us. Our lives on this earth have a greater purpose regardless of whatever earthly occupation we have taken on. Take a moment today to consider how I can represent Christ’s Kingdom to the world more clearly? How can I fulfill my duty as an ambassador?
