Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

St. Paul reminds the Colossians about the importance of keeping our identity in Christ as the primary matter that guides our life: “with Christ you died… you have been raised with Christ…” In Christ these two concluding and beginning forces have made us into a new creation of the Kingdom. This is why we “are to set our minds on things that are above…” We can’t be distracted by the superstitions of this world. There are countless spiritual teachings in this world that present themselves as alternatives to Christ, but, in reality, they are but superstitions when compared to Christ. St. John Cassian says, “There is no doubt that this is said about the superstitions of the law. To plunge into them is to be an adulterer for Christ.” (Conferences 14:11).
