Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

Every Christian is called to live a life of humility. True humility is thinking of yourself less, though often, we think of humility as thinking less of oneself. This latter way of thinking may lead us to question our own abilities and talents or place an undue emphasis on our weaknesses and sinfulness. Not one of us is perfect and we all sin, but neither of those are a stumbling block to being God’s instrument in this world. We may think ourselves inadequate or unprepared when the Lord calls us to a task in this world, and yet, He calls us because He has chosen us for a purpose. We may waver, but He never wavers. He created us, gave us life, and knows our abilities better than we know ourselves. All we have to do is trust in Him, and He will strengthen us to fulfill His work.

In trusting in the Lord and going to Him for our identity, we are able to embrace a true view of humility and think of ourselves less, focusing all the more on those around us and the work He has given us for His Kingdom.
