Read Romans 8:28-39
Christ is born! Glorify Him!
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
Brothers and sisters, the first verse of today’s epistle reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Romans is for us the greatest consolation we can receive from our Heavenly Father. In this life, we will experience many challenges and struggles. We will live through events that will test our faith and lead us to question God’s providence. We may despair over situations that are beyond our control and be frustrated or angry with God for allowing them to happen at all.
In the end, no matter how difficult it gets, every situation, event, challenge, and struggle will work together for good. Why? Because God, our Heavenly Father, will make it so for us if we love Him. We have been called by Him into a relationship of love with Him, and His love endures forever through every difficult moment of our lives.
