We live in an age when great events are anticipated and yet seem to be far off. Many of us can probably relate to having been led to believe that some major biblical event was about to take place only to see that prediction not live up to the hype. Our usual response is to simply write off those end time predictions as hoaxes and continue as though everything is as should be. What if the Master is simply delayed? If that is the case then He is still on His way and when He does arrive will be found ready to receive Him? We are even told that the Master comes at a time we do not expect. Therefore, does it not seem likely that we should live in a state of moral and spiritual preparedness? Now is the time to put our lives in order for we do not know what tomorrow will bring. Let us not get discouraged that things haven’t happened in the way that we thought they were predicted to happen, but rather let us live as though today we will have to give an account to the Master.
