Read Luke 9:12-17
The miracle of Jesus feeding the five thousand with five loaves and two fishes reveals how God, Himself, is the one Who provides for His people. In fact, all foods that are considered to be edible originate from the goodness of God. He is the one that created it in the first place and He is the one that can create food by His will alone. An interesting question to ponder is whether the greater miracle is that Jesus was able to feed over five thousand people from five loaves of bread and two fishes or how is it that bread and fish actually exist in the first place? Is it not often the case that we take for granted that certain things exist without considering why they exist and how essential they are to our bodily needs and requirements. The vitamins and nutrients that exist in the foods we eat are essential for the proper functioning of our bodies. Is it likely that this is simply by chance, or did God in His wisdom design the foods we eat to contain the things that would provide us with what we need to exist as human beings? Is it not in fact miraculous that naturally occurring foods are exactly what we need to consume in order to maintain good healthy bodies? May we have a better insight into the Mind of God and of how everything that He has created reveals His Greatness.
