Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

The demand for a sign is more of an excuse not to believe in Jesus Christ, rather than a reason to come to believe in Him.

Certain people would rather come up with unnecessary, repetitive questions, demands and excuses, rather than to look at, accept and believe the truth.

Let us bring to mind the gospel about the man born blind (Jn 9:1-40). Quite a thorough investigation took place and towards the end, the man born blind, who now could see, was thrown out (Jn 9:34) and the miracle ignored.

Similar behaviour is quite common nowadays as well – finding excuses to avoid the necessary truth.

How many times we hear people say “I used to be Catholic; I used to go to Church every Sunday”. It is as if the Church does not exist anymore; like being Catholic and going to Church is a thing of the past.

More importantly, completely ignoring the fact that being an active member of the Church of Christ is truly beneficial for the community and necessary for one’s soul.

For one reason or another, there is a tendency to ignore the big, essential spiritual needs, such as the grace, mercy and love of God, by judging these with smaller, sinful excuses, instead of simply accepting the truth, who is Jesus Christ Himself.
