Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
In today’s gospel reading, Jesus emphasizes that we ought to trust Him. Regardless of the situation we may find ourselves in, we need to remember that He is in control of all things, and that everything that is good comes from Him.
The words of God from the prophecy of Jeremiah come to mind: “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (29:11).
At some point in life we may be unwillingly questioned, or find ourselves in unexpected danger, or lost. It is important to remember that the Lord is always by our side. He is the one Who will give us a mouth and wisdom (Lk 21:15) and any other needed blessing in order to overcome any difficulty.
Acknowledging His presence is what changes the situation and the outcome for the better, for the unexpected.
Sometimes, or more often than that, it may seem to us that “we got this”. And sometimes it may be so. But how much better it would be if we always and continually consult with, trust in, and rely on Jesus!
