| Trying to explain to others the importance of following the teachings of Jesus Christ is not always an easy thing to do. Those of us who have been convinced that Jesus has the words of eternal life will sacrifice all else to follow Him so as to obtain the reward that He promises us. However, our ability to recognize the truths that Jesus offers us is a gift from God and can be lost if we are not careful. Being grateful to God and expressing that gratitude is a great help in maintaining a good relationship with God. This requires a degree of humility on our part that helps us to recognize our dependence upon God. When we are able to trust that God is with us and guiding us, then we can have the confidence to tell others about the pearl of great price that we have discovered which is our faith in Christ. May we not be afraid to risk all that this world has to offer and proclaim to others our hope of obtaining eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord. |
