Read Luke 8:16-21
It is good to remember that God knows all that happens, even those things that no one else observes. This applies to those things that we do that are sinful and harmful to others or to ourselves but also to those things that others do to us that are painful and hurtful. In the first case, we recognize that we are sinners and that if we do not repent and reconcile, God is the final judge and will hold us accountable on the day of judgement. In the second case, we can take consolation in knowing that God is fully aware of the injustices that we have endured and that He will comfort us in ways known only to Him. The mercy of God and the justice of God go hand in hand, in such a way that God’s perfect love for us is imparted to us even when we are being chastened by Him. Therefore, let us remember that every aspect of our life is known to God and that He will treat us in an appropriate manner.
