Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
“And when he (Jesus) returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.” (Mk 2:1)
Where was home for Jesus? Apparently the house of Simon Peter became Jesus’ home. Sometimes the house of Peter is called the place from which Jesus worked. That almost makes it sound like a business. And yet the Gospel of Mark describes it as home.
So Jesus lived in the home of the first pope, the apostle Peter. This fact implies that there was a certain rapport that Peter had with Jesus that no one else had, except maybe Peter’s wife.
In the new series about Jesus called “The Chosen” this house of Peter in Capernaum is presented as central and crucial to Jesus’ ministry.
Would you be able to make room for Jesus in your home so that He could stay for a while? Could you find room for a refugee from Ukraine?
