Acts 17:19-28; John 12:19-36

Christ is risen! Truly, He is risen!

In various interactions with converts to the faith, one can’t help but experience their “convert fever”: this powerful desire to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with everyone who has not yet encountered Christ. These converts have received the light of Christ and in walking in that light, they want everyone to join them on that path, far away from the darkness of the world.

While all of us baptized have the light, we do not always walk in that light or embrace the light with the same fervour that converts to the faith do. Sometimes, we justify a brief walk in the darkness but as Jesus warns the people and us, the darkness has the power to overtake us and lead us on the wrong path.

In order for us to walk on the right path towards the Kingdom of Heaven, we need to embrace and walk in the light. So long as we walk in the light, we will grow as sons and daughters of the True Light.
