Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!
Read Colossians 4:2-9
Could it be that many of us shy away from participating in the being evangelizers because we believe that it is something that we do, that we initiate? Paul makes it clear in this section of his letter to the Colossians, as does Luke in the Acts of the Apostles (14:27), that it is actually the Lord who “opens us a door” so that we “declare the mystery of Christ.” The Lord initiates and we respond and work with Him with the gifts He has already given to us. As we share so easily and creatively with others our recipes, our favourite football team (go Blue Bombers!) or hockey team (go Senators!), and many other happenings and experiences in our life, we can also share in the same manner our experiences that we have with our Lord Jesus Christ.
